Hi there! I'm Joseph Chakola, a Database Administrator with over 15 years of professional experience in the Financial capital markets, Healthcare, and Manufacturing industries. Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work on various team projects, which have helped me develop my skills in project implementation, troubleshooting, presentation, and issue resolution. I pride myself on my analytical and interpersonal skills, as well as my ability to learn new concepts quickly, which have allowed me to adapt to new environments and become a go-to person for my colleagues.

Continuously Expanding My Technical Expertise

I've always been passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest technologies in my field. I'm proficient in Azure SQL Database, MS SQL Server 2019 and 2022, and I've successfully migrated SQL Server to AWS, Aurora, Snowflake, Teradata, and PostgreSQL. I've also had the opportunity to work with AWS Data Transfer Services (DTS) for online and offline data migration and have designed PaaS Azure HA/DR SQL Server databases on Windows Azure.

Contributing to Business Intelligence and Problem-Solving

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of creating centralized OLAP Data Warehouses for core Business Intelligence using SSDT/SSIS and setting up DW reports using Tableau, PowerBI, and SSRS. I've also tackled high-priority production tickets using SNOW, JIRA, and Kanban, which has allowed me to develop my problem-solving skills and work effectively under pressure.

In recent years, I've developed a growing interest in Artificial Intelligence and its potential to revolutionize various industries, including database administration. I'm excited about the prospect of contributing to the advancement of AI and exploring how it can be applied to solve complex problems and improve efficiency in my field.
